Where are SUKē silk squares made?
Our designs are conceived in Paris, in collaboration with international artists. The manufacturing takes place in China, in the Hangzhou region, the historical cradle of silk. This choice allows us to combine Parisian creativity, centuries-old expertise, and a commitment to quality.
Do you work with certified partners?
Yes. We select our workshops and suppliers according to demanding specifications, in which international certifications are a central criterion.
- GOTS & REACH: our partners guarantee the absence of harmful substances and compliance with European chemical regulations throughout all stages (dyeing, printing, finishing).
- FSC: our boxes and packaging come from FSC-certified supply chains, sourced from responsibly managed forests.
- BSCI: our workshops are committed to BSCI (amfori), which governs working conditions: health and safety, hours, non-discrimination, decent remuneration and regular audits.

Is silk a sustainable material?
Silk is a natural and biodegradable fiber, not derived from petroleum. When carefully processed, it offers remarkable longevity. We use pure silk (without synthetic blends) and a digital printing process that minimizes water consumption, combining quality, durability, and reduced environmental impact.

How to care for a silk scarf?
Silk is made to last, provided it is cared for: no machine, no hand washing; dry cleaning only, preferably by a provider familiar with silk scarves.
Avoid water, tumble drying, perfume, and prolonged exposure to sunlight. Store it flat in its box, away from moisture.

What does “momme” mean?
The momme ( mm ) is the traditional unit that measures the density/weight of silk. The higher the momme, the denser, more opaque, and more resistant the silk (to the touch, drape, and colorfastness). A suitable momme ensures comfort, durability, and a beautiful drape.
The model I want is out of stock, can I still order it?
Some models are produced in limited quantities. If they are sold out, you can activate the back-in-stock alert or contact us to find out about upcoming availability and planned restocks.
Do you offer custom or personalized orders?
In some cases, yes. Depending on the project (event, company, special series), we can consider customization or dedicated production (deadlines, quantities, technical feasibility).

The SUKē House
Who is SUKē?
SUKē is a Franco-Chinese silk scarf company, created by Tianming Su and Alexandre Crenn.
Our artistic direction is conceived in Paris and co-created with international artists; the manufacturing is done in China, in Hangzhou, the historical cradle of silk.
Beyond the object itself, SUKē carries a cultural mission: to rehabilitate exceptional Chinese silk and the “Made in China” label within the world of luxury, by forging a demanding bridge between heritage and modernity. We champion a discreet luxury, rooted in transmission, respect for craftsmanship, and the precision of every touch.
Each square is designed to tell a story, to last and to be passed on, a piece of meaning more than a simple trend, at the crossroads of Chinese culture and Parisian elegance.
What does the name “SUKē” mean?
SUKē is written 素珂 ( Sù Kē , pronounced sou-keu).
- 素 (sù) originally referred to raw (undyed) silk, and by extension to simplicity, purity, and economy of ornamentation. In classical poetry, expressions like 素手 (“delicate hands”) associate su with the finesse of artisanal gestures.
- 珂 (kē) refers to a white jade-type stone, used in ancient jewelry; it evokes nobility, rarity and luminous clarity.
Together, 素珂(Sù Kē) expresses the alliance of silk in its truth (素) and the purity of jade (珂): an aesthetic of precious sobriety, at the heart of SUKē's vision.
What is your mission?
Our mission is to rehabilitate exceptional Chinese silk within the luxury sector and to proudly bear the "Made in China" label. We want to showcase its true nobility: a thousand-year-old expertise, technical mastery, and a culture of craftsmanship that are too often overlooked.
We create scarves that tell stories: patterns inspired by China and illuminated by a Parisian sensibility, to create a dialogue between heritage and modernity. This bridge between two cultures guides all our decisions: from the choice of partners to the production methods.
Our pieces are durable, responsible, and timeless. We prioritize healthy materials, precise printing that conserves water, meticulous finishing, and measured proportions. The goal: for each SUKē scarf to become a meaningful object, to be worn for years to come, with pride and style.
